Dear Friends and Supporters:
It is an honor to serve as President of the Virginia Law Foundation, an organization which has provided over $23,000,000 since 1974 to support legal services for the poor, disadvantaged and those without an effective voice; law related education and educational opportunities; and awareness and appreciation of the importance of the Rule of Law in our society.
The Foundation has been exploring for several years how best it may strengthen the impact of its grants. That has resulted in a grants program which has become more focused and purposeful. That same process has led us to broaden and strengthen our reaching out to lawyers and others who support the Foundation’s work. We will continue our focus on grants and casting a wide net for support in the coming year.
I have been privileged to serve on the Foundation’s Board for several years. During that time I have been impressed of the tremendous need in Virginia for the programs the Foundation has supported. I have also been saddened that the resources of the Foundation could not address all of these needs. I would invite you to help our work by making a contribution to the Foundation.
